The Board of Trustees of Providence Christian College is pleased to announce the search for Providence’s next president. Established in 2005 as a Reformed college on the West Coast, Providence is entering an exciting stage of development for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.

A Presidential Search Committee has been established by the Board of Trustees and chaired by Dr. Steve Kortenhoeven, vice chair of the board. The 10-member committee includes staff, faculty, alumni, and trustees, all with deep connections to the institution and a firm commitment to Providence’s mission. Dr. Kortenhoeven, before joining the board of trustees, served as the college’s first Dean of Student Life and education professor. “We are so excited to launch the presidential search,” said Kortenhoeven, “and we are eager to meet the person that God has prepared and will provide for this position. The search committee covets the prayers of the Providence community, specifically for wisdom through this process.”

As a Reformed Christian institution, Providence Christian College is committed to its founding mission “to equip students to be firmly grounded in biblical truth, thoroughly educated in the liberal arts, and fully engaged in their church, their community, and the world for the glory of God and for service to humanity.” The college is seeking a president who is equally committed to this mission.

Knowing the challenges facing all faithful, Christian institutions, the ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to both God’s word and the Reformed confessions. Additionally, the next president will be a visionary leader able to passionately share that vision with students and supporters, build the donor base, and travel to promote the college.

If you are interested in applying, need more information, or would like to nominate someone, please email the committee at presidentsearch@providencecc.edu. The committee will continue until the college’s next president is identified with the expectation of a summer 2023 appointment.
