Dr. Isaiah Lin was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Goleta, CA. He earned his Ph.D. from Syracuse University. Prior to his doctoral work, he earned an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at Biola University and a B.A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics and Public Policy at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As an instructor, he is passionate about helping students engage the life of the mind in pursuit of the good life. Outside of academic work, Dr. Lin enjoys practicing jiu-jitsu, taking photographs, watching movies, and traveling in pursuit of gustatory pleasure. Dr. Lin is married to Aubree, a NICU nurse at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
