Student Life Community Director

Bethany is thrilled to be a part of the team at Providence as a community director. She was born and raised on the east coast and moved to Southern California in 2011 for graduate school with her husband, Chris. One of her favorite parts of her life story is that she met her husband when she was only 12 years-old and has had the honor and privilege of growing alongside of him through many seasons of life. Bethany loves reading anything and everything written by C.S. Lewis, is an at-home fitness junky, and believes puppies can brighten even the darkest days.

Bethany’s training includes a B.A. in pre-counseling from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL (’10) and a M.A. in Spiritual Formation from Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California (’15). She absolutely loves working with college students and is particularly interested in walking alongside of them in this formative time as they open up to who Christ has made them to be and how He will use them in this world. She is so thankful for God’s kindness in leading her to Providence.

“Liberal arts is a conversation through which we obtain wisdom. True wisdom, then, founded in the fear and love of the Lord, engenders a desire for a deeper knowledge and love of one another, teaches us and aids us in forgiving and reconciling with one another and encourages us to explore together the limitless implications of our redeemed existence on this earth.”

“True wisdom consists in two things: Knowledge of God and Knowledge of Self.”
