Providence Resident Life
Providence students reside in newly renovated apartment buildings known as the Providence Village. Conveniently located in the Providence corridor in Old Town Pasadena, the Providence Village cultivates life together in a Christian living and learning community.
Resident Assistants, under the supervision of Resident Directors, are students committed to the growth and encouragement of the Providence community. While they deal with necessary policy enforcement and resident oversight, they consider their primary roles to be spiritual counselors, community builders and educational facilitators. As spiritual counselors, they engage individuals with intentionality, assessing needs for social and spiritual growth. As community builders, they provide a peaceful living environment where students can explore relationships with each other and exercise their Christian faith. As educational facilitators, they seek to connect students with our faculty and staff for the sake of student success and to encourage critical thinking beyond the classroom.
Sharing a meal together is a large part of the community experience. Using their FlexPlan, students enjoy a variety of dining options along the Providence corridor. Dining options include a coffee shop, a traditional cafeteria and a local restaurant.
