Providence Resident Life
Resident Assistants are students committed to the growth and encouragement of the Providence community. While they deal with necessary policy enforcement and resident oversight, they consider their primary roles to be spiritual counselors, community builders and educational facilitators. As spiritual counselors, they engage individuals with intentionality, assessing needs for social and spiritual growth. As community builders, they provide a peaceful living environment where students can explore relationships with each other and exercise their Christian faith. As educational facilitators, they seek to connect students with our faculty and staff for the sake of student success and to encourage critical thinking beyond the classroom.
Providence students hang their hats in Aylward and Townsend Halls. Conveniently located near the dining hall, library, and McGavran Hall, the residence halls cultivate life together in a Christian living and learning community.
Centrally located in the middle of campus, the Providence Dining Hall is a large part of the community experience. Complete with outdoor balcony and courtyard seating, students share meals together and enjoy the presence of Providence faculty and staff.
