Mark Rippetoe

Dean of Student Life

Mark Rippetoe is the dean of student life at Providence. Originally from Nashville, he most recently moved from Northern California where he was overseeing another resident life program. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, GA), a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO), and a master’s in higher education and student development from Taylor University (Upland, IN). Mark enjoys the opportunity to educate students in college atmosphere outside the classroom and walking with them as they learn and grow in what it means to live a faithful life.

He lives in Altadena with his wife Sarah and they have a son Chase and daughter Livy. They love city life and the outdoors, particularly swimming, running, and cycling.
