Future Christian Teacher Scholarship

Christian Schools International (CSI) has a strong tradition of supporting Reformed, Christian K-12 education in the Southwest, as well as internationally. The principals of the CSI Southwest Region have generously contributed to this scholarship fund in order to encourage Providence students interested in teaching in a Christian School. This scholarship is open to current sophomore and junior education majors. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.

  • To Apply: Current sophomore and junior students should complete the CSI Southwest Region Scholarship Application.  Answer the questions on the application in 250 words or less. You must include: a copy of your PCC college transcript (with cumulative GPA); a copy of your CBEST score (taken spring of sophomore year); and two CSI Scholarship Reference Forms, one from an education professor, and one from another person (former teacher, pastor, former employer). Return it to the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Due Date: CSI Southwest Region Future Christian Teacher Scholarship applications should be returned for consideration by April 15.

“Liberal arts is a conversation through which we obtain wisdom. True wisdom, then, founded in the fear and love of the Lord, engenders a desire for a deeper knowledge and love of one another, teaches us and aids us in forgiving and reconciling with one another and encourages us to explore together the limitless implications of our redeemed existence on this earth.”
