Homecoming, Alumni Weekend and Parents Weekend are one BIG weekend!

These are THE days for families and alumni to visit campus.
Plan to join us October 26 & 27 for a weekend of fun for everyone!

Friday, October 26

11:00 AMReformation Day Chapel
Students, Alumni, and parents are encouraged to join us to hear our special guest speaker, Dr. Michael Horton
.
Dr. Horton has taught apologetics and theology at Westminster Seminary California since 1998. In addition to his work at the Seminary, he is the Founder and host of the White Horse Inn, a nationally syndicated, weekly radio talk-show exploring issues of Reformation theology in American Christianity. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Modern Reformation magazine.

12:00 PM – Lunch
Join students in the dining hall (cash payment accepted)
OR explore some of the great restaurants around our neighborhood of East Washington Village.
To find out what’s in the neighborhood, take a walk with our local Councilmember as she explores Pasadena’s East Washington Village. 

1:00 PM or 2:30 PM – Attend a class
Hear firsthand from our professors! Feel free to attend all or part of a class as a guest.
1:00 PM  Introduction to Communications with Professor Ryor (McGavran M2)
1:00 PM  Christian Ethics with Dr. Swanson (McGavran M5)
2:30 pm  Old Testament Studies with Dr. Swanson (McGavran M6)

4:30-6:30 PM – Reformation Celebration
Enjoy a taco truck, fellowship, and campus games on the quad in a Reformation Day-themed event! 
Dinner is complimentary.
Sea Beggar apparel will be available for purchase in the courtyard during the celebration.  

7:00 PM Women’s Home Volleyball game vs. Benedictine University. Location: Loma Alta Park, Pasadena

Saturday, October 27

Saturday is a great time to spend time with parents and friends exploring all that Pasadena and L.A. have to offer before the games start in the afternoon. Need ideas? Check out this list!

10:30am – Alumni Brunch at Dr. Scott Swanson’s Home
Providence Alumni and their families are welcome to join Dr. Scott Swanson, and his wife, Kim, for brunch at their home. Email Kim Swanson for the address and additional details: goldswan78@yahoo.com 

10:00 am and 11:00 am – Walking tours of new downtown campus location
Walking tours of the new campus downtown location will also be available. Building access may be limited due to construction and weekend schedule, but you will be able to see the areas where Providence will be located.  Tours will meet on the top of the hour at Ambrose Cafe located at 509 E Walnut Street in Pasadena. Street parking and parking garages are available in the area.

3:00 PM – Women’s Home Soccer Game vs. Sierra Nevada University. Location: Maranatha High School, Pasadena 

7:00 PM – Women’s Home Volleyball Game vs. Embry-Riddle. Location: LaSalle High School, Pasadena
