Adjunct Professor of Greek

Dr. Austin was born in Thunder Bay Ontario, and lived in Winnipeg Manitoba until the age of nine. He lived in the Chicago Suburbs where he studied Theology and History at Trinity Christian College. He then moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to pursue an Master’s of Thelogocial Studies from Calvin Theological Seminary, where he also received a ThM in Ancient Near East Languages and Literatures. He then moved to the Netherlands, where he lived for four and a half years while working on his PhD at Universiteit Leiden. His dissertation was on the Old Greek (Septuagint) of Isaiah and how the plant metaphors were translated from the Hebrew.

Dr. Austin’s father is a musician and professor emeritus at Trinity Christian College. His mother is novelist Lynn N. Austin.
