Athletic Director

Supervise Athletic Department

  • Weekly Meetings with Asst. to AD/SID, Dean of Students
  • Oversee All Phases of Providence Athletic Department: budget personnel, interdepartmental policies related to department, NAIA & CALPAC Compliance and reporting.

Supervise Coaches and their Programs

  • Acquire facilities & develop relationships with landlords
  • Communicate effectively regarding the needs of the college
  • Hold weekly meetings

Supervise Game Day Efficiency

  • Assure that game days run smoothly
  • Oversee SID information & interns


  • Provide ideas for teams and facilitate fundraising for them
  • Create sponsorships for the Athletic Department

Interaction with Student Athletes

  • Meet with Providence Athletic Student Association
  • Meet with Individual Athletes as needed

Coaching Positions: Men's Soccer Assistant Coach, Golf

Status: Part-time

Providence Christian College seeks coaches in a variety of sports that are planned for launch in the near future. Applicants should have a college degree and be able to articulate a Reformed perspective as it relates to Christian higher education. Christian perspective should also be evident in the applicant’s athletic philosophy. The qualified applicant should also enjoy working with traditionally-aged college students and have a strong desire to serve in student development in the context of a Reformed Christian liberal arts college. This position requires strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication skills, and flexibility. Applicants should be able to give evidence of Christian commitment and subscription to the Reformed confessions. Though not a faculty position, the successful candidate should be in substantial harmony with faith expectations for faculty, described at employment expectations.
